Registration begins in the Fall for the upcoming Spring season. Parents meetings are held in January . The Official practice season begins in early March and Games run from Mid April -1 st week of June. Several coaches and volunteers are selected to help teach the players lacrosse, organize uniform/spirit-wear orders and support the teams.
The player fee for the season includes a custom designed uniform (short, game jersey and shooter shirt), 8-12 regular season games, 2 tournaments (at least 3 games each), fields, field equipment and official fees.
Winter Clinics are offered.
Canton Plymouth is part of the Michigan Youth Lacrosse Association in the Metro Lacrosse league. Our league teams include Brighton, South Lyon, Hartland, Ann Arbor and Howell. Games and practices may be held on any day of the week depending on field scheduling and coach availability.
Competition may also include, Belleville, Livonia, Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Trenton, Toledo, Birmingham, W Bloomfield and other local communities.
Canton Plymouth Lacrosse will be returning to the Waverly Lacrosse Festival at Waverly High School near Lansing in May. In the past, most of the families have stayed at least one night in Lansing. A block of rooms will likely be reserved at a nearby hotel. Optional non-lacrosse activities have been planned for Saturday evening in the past. The tournaments and overnight trip are a season highlight for the players and families as they get to spend time away from the lacrosse fields getting to know the people they will likely be spending a lot of time with over the years. As in years past, Canton Plymouth will end its season at the Midwest Lax Bash Tournament in Lansing, Michigan. Although the tournament is an hour away and some teams may start at 8:00 a.m., almost all families commute each day. For tournaments, Canton Plymouth Lacrosse will set up a central tent and food area for players and families to gather, and families will be asked (through SignUpGenius) to contribute a tent, table, snacks, plates, etc. if possible.
